The consultant’s job is not to quiet the effects of change. Instead it is to work with those who are stimulated to change; create game plans to implement change; and, help leaders develop a cohesive team that can formulate solutions to the problems caused by change.

Known to his clients and colleagues by” Punch,” he has applied the latest knowledge in management and the behavioral sciences to practical business situations for over 30 years. He has counseled managers and facilitated literally hundreds of management team meetings on issues related to change. As Director of Organization Development for Mellon Bank, Punch concentrated his 15-year internal consulting practice with growing high technology divisions. During the past decade organizations have had to change and improve more dramatically than at any other time in our history. Punch has supported many organizations with their search for positive change as an independent consultant to management. Punch also serves as an adjunct faculty member in Duquesne University’s MBA Program. He has been teaching for over 10 years in the management division. His specialty is Strategic Management and Leading Change in Organizations. He and Ken Matejka have authored a book that blueprints the implemention of Strategic Initiatives. Punch received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration as an undergraduate and earned a Master of Science in Organization Development from Pepperdine University in 1980. He has studied the management of organizations his entire career and has been trained by some of the leaders in the field.
